Jens was born in 1982 and grew up in Bjästa, a small community outside of Örnsköldsvik in the north of Sweden. While his teen years contained a lot of snowboarding, skating and socializing with his friends, the path of his present career in tattoos was paved by his younger years at the age of 8 when he developed an interest for arts.

During the latter years of school he reconnected with his former interests and after he had completed his education, and was working in Örnsköldsvik, he became more involved with the art of tattooing.

By the time he was 21 years old he had created a connection with Krister Göransson who made him an apprentice at his tattoo and bodypiercing shop in central Örnsköldsvik. When his apprenticeship was over he stayed with Krister and worked sidelined with him for a couple of years until Jens became the sole owner of the shop.

After a while Markus Nilsson became Jens' apprentice and as the business started growing, and Markus had begun to work on his own, Jens decided to expand and opened up a new shop in a bigger establishment in 2008 with Daniel Nordin as the new tattooing apprentice. This is the current shop called Big Street Tattoo where there are three active tattoo artists, and an additional co-worker who handles laser removal treatments.

Jens prefers to work in the direction towards horror themes and portraits, which of many are presented on this website. Since opening Big Street Tattoo, he has been traveling internationally to Tattoo conventions in the world, from North America to East Asia, but also does guest appearances frequently in shops of different parts in Sweden.
